On March 14th, we're throwing a party to celebrate the sweetness of the 314 area code! Join us at The Fountain on Delmar all day long, from 11am to 10pm, as we pay tribute to the 'Lou with some amazing St. Louis-themed menu items.

Sweet Treats Galore!

Indulge in our St. Louis-inspired menu, featuring:

  • The Gooey Butter Cake Shake: a creamy, dreamy blend of goodness, available with or without Gooey Butter Cake Liqueur

  • The Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream Martini: a sophisticated, spirited twist on a classic St. Louis dessert

  • The Fountain's St. Louis Salad: a fresh mix of greens, pimento, artichoke, red onions, parmesan, and dijon vinaigrette

  • 1-scoop waffle cones for just $3.14!

A Nod to History

Did you know that the waffle cone was invented right here in St. Louis during the 1904 World's Fair? It's true! Charles Menches, an ice cream vendor, ran out of dishes and turned to a nearby waffle vendor, Ernest Hamwi, for help. Hamwi rolled up his waffles into cones, and the rest is history! We're proud to be located just around the corner from the site of the World's Fair, and we're celebrating this sweet legacy with our special waffle cone deal.

And, of course, no St. Louis celebration would be complete without Gooey Butter Cake! This beloved dessert has been a St. Louis staple since the 1930s, when it was accidentally created by a local baker. We're honoring this tasty tradition with our Gooey Butter Cake Shake and Ice Cream Martini.

Join the Party!

So, mark your calendars for March 14th and join us at The Fountain on Delmar for a fun-filled day of food, drinks, and St. Louis spirit! We can't wait to celebrate 314 Day with you.

Order the Gooey Butter Cake Shake with or without Gooey Butter Cake Liqueur.
